Question 1

What is DevPass?

Accepted Answer

DevPass is a professional identity platform for software engineers. Instead of repeating resumes and interviews for every application, you build one verified Developer Passport that companies can search and trust.

Question 2

Is it free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, creating your Developer Passport is free for developers. We'll always be upfront before introducing any paid features.

Question 3

How does verification work?

Accepted Answer

We verify your identity, analyze your GitHub activity, and score your skills through role-based assessments. Every part of your passport is backed by evidence, not self-reported claims.

Question 4

When will beta launch?

Accepted Answer

We're building in public and sharing progress on our roadmap above. Join the waitlist to be notified the moment beta access opens.

Question 5

Can companies join?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Companies will be able to search verified developers directly instead of sorting through resumes. Select "Company" on the waitlist form to get early access.

Question 6

How is DevPass different from LinkedIn?

Accepted Answer

LinkedIn relies on self-reported profiles. DevPass verifies every claim — identity, GitHub contributions, skills, and assessments. Companies trust DevPass because every data point is backed by evidence, not just text on a profile.

Question 7

Can I control what companies see?

Accepted Answer

Completely. Your Developer Passport is yours. You control what information is visible, when you are discoverable, and which companies can contact you. Privacy is built into the platform from day one.

Question 8

How does the trust score work?

Accepted Answer

Your trust score is calculated from verified data points: identity verification, GitHub contribution analysis, assessment results, and portfolio completeness. It is not a rating of your skill level but a measure of how much verified evidence backs your profile.
